Parenting Education

We strive to offer parenting education programs to help parents strengthen parenting and problem-solving skills necessary to build a successful and healthy family. Our programs focus on family strengths and resilience instead of family weaknesses.

We believe that effective parenting education includes programs that offer parents opportunities to share their experiences with other parents; are family-centered, culturally appropriate; consistent with the beliefs and principles of the family; promote family relationships by improving family interaction and communication and, increase positive parent-child interactions.

We recognize that we live in a fast-paced world and that parents have many demands on their time and energy. We believe that parents are interested in making the most of their time with their children and want information and skills that are proven to help them be successful parents. We offer opportunities that fit parents’ busy schedules.

Look at the following calendar and find an opportunity that fits your needs and interests, whether it is a one hour lunch and learn; a family book club; a parenting class or a parent-child group activity. Below are some examples of learning opportunities being offered this year.
